Over 10 Days in July/August 2024 we travelled to some of Ireland's most famous ancient historic locations, ranging from burial mounds in Newgrange that were built even before the Pyramids, to Navan Fort in Northern Ireland where they have recreated a 2000 year old settlement, to the ancient monastic settlements of Clonmacnoise and Glendalough, and castles including those in Trim and Blarney (home of the Blarney Stone) and even a medieval banquet in 15th Century Bunratty Castle. We also included some more 'recent' historic attractions like The Ulster American Folk Park, Cobh Heritage Centre and EPIC Museum that trace the history of the Irish that migrated to the USA, including a visit on board the Jeanie Johnston, a replica of one of the infamous 'coffin ships' used to ferry those immigrants to 'The New World'.
